I'm new

DFC is a friendly, growing church made up of people from all backgrounds, all ages, all experiences of church and all walks of life.  Our vision is to be a church known for our love for God, our love for one another and our love for our community.

We enjoy lively worship and Bible-based life-relevant teaching.  DFC also has an energetic youth programme for ages 4 - 18 and a crèche for under 4s.

During the week, we have a network of small groups that help people connect with others in their local community.

We hope you find the website useful and we look forward to meeting you soon.

What to expect

Whether you’re exploring faith for the first time or already miles into the journey, you should expect to receive a warm welcome and an encouraging time with us.

We meet at 9.40am for coffee and start our meeting at 10am at The Thomas Hardye School, Queens Avenue, Dorchester.  We finish around 11.30am when there is plenty of time to meet new people and get connected with what's going on.

Our Live Wires (Babies and Preschool) and Bright Sparks (Reception to Year 4) as well as our youth activities; Fusion (Years 5-8) and Ignite (Years 9-13) all start around 10.30am.

We know that it's not easy visiting a new church for the first time. You may feel nervous or unsure of what will happen, so we’ve tried to design our Sunday services to make them accessible, whatever your background but especially to those who have never been to church before.

You are welcome to contact the church to say you're coming or simply turn up on Sundays.
