This is why our church exists and everything we do is about these goals.

Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’

This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’ Matthew 22:37-39

And the everyday life of Dorchester Family Church revolves around these three activities...

Gathering...

Whether on Sundays or midweek through our Connect Groups, we love meeting together. We meet to worship God, to listen to Him through the Bible, to encourage one another and to meet new people. We believe the church is uniquely able to bring together people from all nations, ages and backgrounds - united together through Jesus.

Jesus said "For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Matthew 18:20

Giving...

Whether through our time, our gifts or our finances, we want generosity to be at the heart of all we do. Rather that seeing this as a chore, we consider being able to give generously a real privilege. So we encourage all our members to get involved, to use their unique gifts and to give financially - all to help the church grow and positively impact more lives.

Jesus said ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ Acts 20:35

Whether to serve the poor around us, to improve the communities near us or even to build new churches around the world; we are always looking for the next going opportunities. We've helped plant new churches in nearby Weymouth, Bridport and Yeovil and enjoy supporting missional teams in far away places like Romania and Togo.
