In September 2018, Ben and Louise Martin moved to Dorchester to take up leadership of DFC. Before that they had led Billingshurst Family Church in West Sussex for over 12 years.
Originally trained in Biomedical Sciences, Ben left the pharmaceutical industry in 2002 to lead the youth team in his home Newfrontiers church in East Grinstead. After which they were invited to Billingshurst to lead the church which they did until they felt God leading them to a new challenge.
Louise is a Primary school teacher and they have 3 teenage children.
Femi came to know Jesus Christ as his Saviour and Lord as a teenager and has carried a strong sense of God’s call ever since. He has served faithfully in various ministry roles, including seven years in pastoral leadership, before relocating from Nigeria to the UK in 2022. He is married to Sarah, and they are blessed with two children, Tosin and Daniel. Femi is passionate about discipleship and spiritual growth.
He is trained in biomedical sciences and works at Dorset County Hospital, while Sarah has a background in education and is employed in a primary school in Dorchester. Outside ministry and work, Femi enjoys spending time with his family.
Liz moved to the UK in July 2023 to marry her husband Dan.
Prior to moving here, she worked as a primary school music teacher in Dacula, Georgia for 4
years. She also helped plant a Calvary Chapel church, where she led their worship ministry for
2 years.
Liz originally studied music at Liberty University, but felt God calling her to work specifically with
young people and church ministry after completing a gap year in the UK in 2016.
Her husband is a social worker, and they enjoy cooking, exploring Dorset, and traveling
together.
