Thursday 9 September | 7.00am | Praying for revival @ The church office
| details |
It’s a fact that the strength – and growth – of a church is directly proportional to the prayer of its members. This is confirmed in the excellent book “Prayer: The Key to Revival” by Paul Yonghi-Cho, the founding pastor of the biggest church in the world in Seoul, Korea, a church with more than 1 million active members. After reading this book, it became obvious that we had to encourage more prayer in our church – particularly corporate prayer. To this end, we started an early-morning prayer group on Thursdays at the church office. This began in late 2008, and is still going well. There are a number of hardy souls that regularly overcome the temptations of snuggling under their duvets for an extra hour or two, and brave all sorts of weather, in order to pray for Revival. We can only encourage more people to give up a small amount of their early morning to see souls added to the Body of Christ. The sacrifice is small, but the reward is great! | |||
