Meet the Leaders
| Mark and Charlotte were called by God to lead the church in June 2005. They both have a passion to see people reach their full potential in Christ and to see a vibrant Spirit filled church. Mark is the pastor of DFC. Prior to taking up the role of pastor Mark served in Her Majesty’s Armed Forces, and also worked for many years as a Civil Engineer. Mark also served on the leadership teams of two churches before leading the leadership team of DFC. Charlotte is a Financial Director for a private company based in Bournemouth who specialise in supported housing for people with mental illness. They have two children, Becky & Josh and love camping and the outdoors. |

![]() | Vic & Nita Langford came to the UK from South Africa in 1999. Prior to their moving here, they had been part of a large church in Johannesburg. It was there that they grew in the Word and were greatly blessed, eventually becoming small group pastors. The lure of British weather brought them out here, Milton Keynes being their first home! There they became involved in the Milton Keynes Christian Centre (again becoming Small group leaders), Vic also found himself playing keyboard in the worship team. After five years – for work reasons – they uprooted once again, and brought themselves and their Jack Russells down to Dorset. They joined DFC in October 2004, and have become involved in various roles. Vic leads the Worship Team, and Nita is the Church Administrator. They are whole-heartedly committed to the vision at DFC, and believe that they are entirely in God's will at the church “where everybody belongs”… |

![]() | Steve and Kathy Scott have been following Jesus all their adult lives (so for a long time now). They believe in being ‘naturally supernatural’. For them this means they try to take the teachings and love of Jesus, and the supernatural power of the holy spirit, into all aspects of their lives and work as a normal part of everyday living. They are both local GPs now but have worked in the RAF and Nepal before settling in Dorchester in 1999. Having been in many different types and styles of churches over the years, have developed a respect for the different expressions of the Christ’s church. With 3 adult children, Peter, Hannah and David they ‘love a laugh’ and being with others and are especially passionate about skiing, wishing they were as fit as they used to be! |

![]() | Both Carol & I found Jesus to be alive & well in the early 90's. Since then we have had 4 kids Sam, Meg, Jake & Joey. Life is an amazing gift & we love it! We have 2 great passions in life ~ The first being our family & the second is to see as many people as possible meet Jesus & find their place in God's family. We are thrilled about being part of DFC for what God promises to be a very exciting time. |

![]() | Pete and Karen Weir felt God call them to join DFC with their 2 children, Helen (18) and Adam (14) in November 2005, having been members of their local Anglican church for 12 years. Pete works for the MOD as a Training Manager and Karen works at a local school as a Business Manager. They both met Jesus in their early teenage years but have been on an amazing journey with Him since joining DFC, learning more about God’s word and finding out who they are in Christ. They have served in the youth ministry and as Connect Group Leaders. Currently they are Connect Group Pastors and Pete leads the Set Up Team and is a church Trustee. They love it when the church leaves the building and shares the love of God with those who don’t know Him yet. They are keen to encourage believers to be ambassadors for Christ wherever they are; in their families, their communities and their work places. |
